The Raydient Places + Properties team is made up of helpful, informed and seasoned professionals who bring a deep understanding of both real estate and stewardship of the land.
Team members come from diverse real estate backgrounds with a passion for creating unique communities, each with their own story to explore. Some team members began their journey with our parent company, Rayonier Inc., in forestry, management, accounting and conservation.

John Weidenhaft
Senior Manager, Real Estate
John Weidenhaft is Raydient Places + Properties' senior manager of real estate. Prior to joining Raydient Places + Properties in 2014, John was the owner of Simmons Real Estate in Panama City, Florida. He has been an active real estate broker for over 20 years and was employed by the St. Joe Company for 10 years. His last position with St. Joe was director of land sales, where he was responsible for marketing large acreage tracts and tracts with special features such as waterfront or strong development potential. John earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida.
Jason Shearer
Senior Manager, Rural Products
Jason Shearer is Raydient Places + Properties' Rural Places manager. Jason has worked for Raydient Places + Properties and its parent company, Rayonier, for close to two decades. He worked first in forestry and then moved to real estate. In addition to his solid forestry background, Jason has historical knowledge of the properties owned by Raydient. He received his bachelor’s degree in forest resources and conservation from the University of Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys watching football and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.
